Drumroll Please

I started dating my wife when I was 46 years old. In the 28 years that I was dating or attached I had four long term relationships. None of them felt right. After my last relationship I had come to the point where I would rather be alone than settle & chances were I would be alone for the rest of my life. My wife walked into my life and after our second date I knew that she was the co-author of the rest of my story.

I spent 21 years with a company that wasn’t a perfect fit for either of us. Out of fear of change, or rejection by others, I stayed. Within a week of unemployment I had offers coming in, but there was only one company I wanted to work for. The signage industry is small, we all know each other & we all know what our competition has been up to. It’s right there for the world to see in stickers on the bottom of signs. There was one company that I thought may check all of my boxes, so I asked for a meeting when I was getting ready to return to the workforce.

That first meeting was all I needed. I could feel it. We fit. The owners, President & I all have the same vision, the same plan & share the same values. We were all on the same page within the first 10 minutes & although I miss Italy, I was genuinely excited for today to come & my career to begin with them.

The last 10 weeks have had their ups and downs, none of which I could have managed without my wife. In fact, I probably never would have left my old place of employment if it weren’t for her support & consigliere services. Today I am so glad that I did. I have found my new professional home that I can & am proud to say I work for.

The company I chose to be a part of had to be good on paper, as well as have intangible qualities such as similar values & complimentary personalities. The on paper boxes were: financially secure, build exceptional signage, have a clear strategy for the future, want to work in the custom segment I prefer to work in & have knowledgeable staff in all departments, including owner & President. I cannot sell signage that will be less than I would buy, or services that I would not purchase myself from a company or brand I cannot support 100%. I have vetted this company with the attention to detail & fine print that all of you know me for.

So who is this mysterious perfect fit company that I am over the moon to be a part of? Provincial Sign Systems! You can read what they have to say about themselves here www.provincialsign.com. I am very excited to tell you that there is a new email address & new number to reach me at on my home page.

I hope you all have as wonderful of a week as I will!
